CASSETTE PLAYA - AUGMENTED REALITY

Straight from the CP blog

For this presentation Cassette Playa worked with funding from LDA and the expertise of the digital department of LCF to write softwear for wearable augmented reality (AR). The models interaction with the program activated CP symbols on the models garments that generates CGI 3D animations. These were then viewed in real time by the audience in an amalgamation of real and virtual worlds.

Cassette Playa explores the boundaries between reality and fantasy. They ask us to consider Fashion as communication and also as an avatar i.e. projected visual representation of self.

Their work is inspired by sci fi dreams and is conditioned by the technologies that bring these dreams closer to an actuality.

Here is another one where Mens Fashion talk to Carri and head backstage

I maybe a little let down, the 3d imagery is sick and the first shirt looks cool but i thought she would do the Augmented reality a little differently... With the models interacting with some 3d images....

Guess you had to be there to get the idea and really who am i too judge.
